ABOUT ME
Following years of working firstly in sales management and then supporting and tutoring people with multiple complex needs, in September 2022, I joined the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham to pursue my original dream of studying a foundation degree in Graphics & Digital Design, a course on which I won two out of the three live brief projects we were presented with and achieved a 1st Class/Distinction grade at completion. Going forward, I plan to go on to Nottingham Trent University to complete the BA (Hons) Degree top-up year.
I have had an interest in Design since childhood, following which I went on to study GNVQ in Art & Design at college. For whatever reason, my life then took a different alternative path.
In recent years, I have rekindled my interest in Design, particularly using Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. I have also experimented with Cinema 4D, Blender, and Figma. My aim now is to become a fully competent designer.

Whilst I very much believe in and follow current and modern trends, I am also inspired by the past and the life experiences that my creative brain has gained insight from, and I feel it is just as important to regain and retain from past works as it is to focus on what is current. As a child of the '80s and early '90s who struggled through the education system as an undiagnosed neurodivergent, I quickly fell into different career paths due to the lack of support and there not being much funding to pursue my niche, that being art and design. I was brought up on the music of The Beatles and lived the best years of my life during the Britpop scene of the mid-late 90s. My website colours are actually inspired by the 1986 Britpop influencing album ‘The Queen Is Dead' by The Smiths.
Later on in my life, before returning to education to study design, I managed to achieve some other things I could have only dreamed of in my younger life, such as travelling to places that influenced much of my childhood through films, TV and the news, such as New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco and driving down the Highway 1 to L.A., as well as various European Cities, all of which inspires my work. Since becoming a father in 2017, I now realise more than ever that maintaining good mental health and happiness is highly important. This is why I have decided to gain immaculate knowledge, skills, and a higher qualification with the long-term aim of working as a hobby that brings enjoyment.
